Eiman Ahmed

Instructor | Pre-College Programs

Eman Riaz Ahmed is a cancer researcher and molecular biologist. She received her B.A. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Harvard College and her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Columbia University. During graduate school, she taught college-level introductory biochemistry and an undergraduate research seminar focused on scientific communication. Her research has included cell and mouse models of cancer, and she is interested in applying molecular and cell biology techniques to solving translational problems. She has published research papers on cell death including apoptosis and ferroptosis in colorectal cancer and lymphoma. She is also involved in STEM outreach in underrepresented communities and is passionate about training the next generation of students curious about biology and its many real-world applications.
