Jennifer L. Lowry

Jennifer L. Lowry is Principal Attorney to the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, where she investigates allegations of misconduct levied against state and local judges who serve throughout the metropolitan region. Before joining the Commission, she served as Principal Law Clerk to the Honorable Jill Konviser, a Court of Claims Judge assigned to the Supreme Court, Criminal Term. As a Principal Law Clerk in both New York and Kings Counties, Ms. Lowry managed a busy felony court part, overseeing hundreds of criminal matters ranging from murder to robbery to sexual assault. She previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in New York County, assigned to the Trial Division, Sex Crimes and Domestic Violence Units, and the Appeals Bureau, and in Westchester County, assigned to the Special Prosecutions and Local Courts and Grand Jury Divisions. As an Assistant District Attorney, Ms. Lowry prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases from arraignment to appeal. Ms. Lowry attended Fordham Law School at night while working full-time at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office in the Witness Aid Services Unit, where she was promoted to the position of Supervisor in the Notifications Division. While at Fordham, Ms. Lowry served as the Managing Editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Journal and upon graduation, received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. Ms. Lowry graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College, where she double majored in Sociology and Anthropology, receiving an award of Distinction on the Senior Requirement.
