Maria Maggenti

Maria Maggenti is a film and TV writer based in New York. She was most recently a co-EP on the hit series Sex/Life for Netflix. She was the Executive Producer on Motherland: Ft. Salem for Freeform, wrote the feature Song for a Whale for Disney+ and the feature The Odds for Amazon, and she's served as Producer on Supergirl, Finding Carter, UnReal, and Without A Trace. She also wrote the feature film “Before I Fall" directed by Ry-Russo Young. She's sold numerous pilots and is currently in development with producers at the Weimaraner Republic. She started her career as a writer/director with the iconic indie hit The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love and followed it with Sundance's success Puccini for Beginners. She is a graduate of Smith College and has an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film. In addition to her writing work, she currently teaches screenwriting at Brown University.
