Saturdays

Morning Meet-Up | 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Each morning, Program Assistants can be found in the main student lounge in Lerner Student Center. Before class, students are invited to join them where they can relax, get to know their peers, and prepare for the day. Additionally, Program Assistants will be available to answer questions, serve as a general program resource, and highlight the day's events.

Morning Classes in Session | 10:10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The morning session is usually divided into two class meetings of approximately fifty minutes each, separated by a ten-minute break.

Lunch | 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

The first Saturday of the program begins with a student luncheon provided by the program. The following Saturdays, students will use their meal plan to have lunch in one of Columbia's on-campus dining halls.

College Preparedness Programming | 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

During the midday break, students are invited to attend college planning events in the form of seminars, workshops, tours, and lectures to prepare for university life.

Afternoon Classes in Session | 2:10 - 4:00 p.m.

The afternoon session is typically broken into two class meetings of approximately fifty minutes each, separated by a ten-minute break.

Student Life Activities | 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.

After class, students can choose to attend seminars on college life, led by Columbia University and Barnard students. Sample topics include; wellness & self-care in the college setting, selecting the right college, and what to expect from college life.
