Matthew Cantwell

Matthew Cantwell is a business advisor and executive with a track record of growing and transforming global businesses. Currently, he is a Senior Director at EY Parthenon, the strategy consulting arm of EY, where he advises private equity clients and corporate management teams. From 2014 to 2021, he served as Chief Strategy Officer at McGraw Hill, where he oversaw strategy and business development into 130 countries. From 2012-2014, he was a manager on the M&A Advisory team at PwC, where he led commercial and operations due diligence for private equity clients. Matt has served as an associate at Battelle Ventures, a venture capital fund; he led strategy for 360ip, a Battelle portfolio company in Asia; and he started his career as a consulting analyst at Goldman Sachs. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School’s MBA-Global program, an MSc in international political economy from The London School of Economics, and a BSc degree in finance from Penn State University’s Schreyer Honors College.
