Clinical Science in Action: Diagnosis, Testing & Treatment New
How do healthcare professionals determine what is happening inside the human body and decide what comes next? This immersive course introduces students to the science behind clinical assessment, diagnostic testing, and modern medical treatment. Students will explore how vital signs and physical examinations provide information about human function; how laboratory tests, medical imaging, and technologies such as ECG, EEG, and EMG help identify abnormalities; and how medications, surgery, medical devices, rehabilitation, and other interventions are used to treat disease and injury. Through hands-on demonstrations, interpretation of clinical data, diagnostic challenges, case studies, and collaborative activities, students will learn how different forms of medical information contribute to patient care. The course will also examine emergency response, medical monitoring, and emerging technologies shaping the future of diagnosis and treatment. No prior experience in medicine or anatomy is required.
