Coding, Creating, and Thinking with AI New
Artificial Intelligence is transforming how we learn, create, and solve problems. This course provides high school students with structured, project-based exposure to AI, helping them become informed, creative, and responsible users of AI technology.
The curriculum is organized into three pillars: AI Literacy, AI Creativity, and AI Application. Students begin by learning AI fundamentals, including pattern recognition, machine learning, and real-world applications like recommendation systems and chatbots. This foundation ensures students understand how AI works and its limitations.
Next, students explore generative AI, learning how machines create text, images, music, or code. They analyze outputs for accuracy, creativity, and bias, understanding the interplay between human intent and AI generation.
In the final phase, students apply AI in creative and technical projects, using AI as a collaborative partner. They practice effective prompting, iterate on outputs, and integrate human judgment, completing a project that demonstrates coding, creativity, and critical thinking.
Ethical considerations are woven throughout, including bias, responsible use, and academic integrity. By the end of the course, students will:
- Understand AI and generative AI fundamentals
- Use AI tools responsibly to create content or code
- Analyze outputs critically and ethically
- Complete a project demonstrating creativity and technical skill
This course is accessible, project-based, and designed to prepare students for higher education and AI-integrated environments, emphasizing understanding, ethical use, and creative application.
