Veteran Journalist Scott Pelley to Deliver Keynote at CSPA 103rd Spring Convention

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) is pleased to announce that veteran award-winning journalist Scott Pelley will deliver the keynote address at its 103rd Annual Spring Convention on the Columbia University campus March 17-19, 2027. 

In his 37 years at CBS News, Pelley served as a war correspondent, political reporter, was anchor and managing editor of The CBS Evening News and was a correspondent at 60 Minutes for 27 years. Pelley has covered the most important stories of our time, including the wars in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Sudan, and was present at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, when the North Tower fell. He has interviewed five serving U.S. presidents, leaders of the House and Senate, and three members of the Supreme Court of the United States. Pelley is now a Journalist in Residence for the 2026-2027 academic year at the Columbia Journalism School.
