Zoe Petitt

Zoe Petitt earned a B.S. in Education from Seton Hall University and her master's degrees in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University and, as of summer 2024, in Special Education with an emphasis on educational assessments and psychometric theory from Rutgers University. In addition to her role at Columbia University, Zoe teaches at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she teaches courses in algebra, probability, statistics, graph theory, and consumer mathematics. She also works in the Regional Center on campus, supporting courses from remedial algebra through advanced calculus. Zoe's dedication to education has been recognized through various awards, including the NJ Distinguished Clinical Intern Award in 2017, the Union County Teacher of the Year award in 2019, and departmental awards for Student Success and Retention, as well as Creating a Community of Belonging in 2023. Outside of her university roles, Zoe runs an educational services company called Hope for All Learners in Hunterdon County, NJ. The company provides tutoring and consultation for students ages 3-21 and offers professional development sessions for teachers and schools. Zoe also serves as the founder and board president for the Casey Petitt Hope for All Learners Fund, a 501(c)3 non-profit which provides scholarships and educational opportunities for at-risk teens and adults.
