Nadia Rahman

Nadia Rahman is a clinical psychology Ph.D. student at the New School for Social Research (NSSR), where she studies intergenerational trauma, memory, and resilience in the Trauma and Global Mental Health Lab. She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and two master’s degrees; an MS in Biomedical Sciences from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, with a concentration in neuroscience, and an MA in Clinical Psychology from the NSSR. Nadia has experience conducting neuropsychological research with diverse clinical populations, including combat veterans with PTSD, survivors of human trafficking, and individuals with schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Nadia’s clinical experience spans various therapeutic modalities, including relational, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and supportive therapies. Nadia has taught students from high school through the graduate level. As an educator, she actively bridges the gap between theory, research, and clinical practice, nurturing her students’ ability to think critically about the material they study.
