Paul Kim

Paul Kim earned a BS in marketing and management, and an MBA in finance and international business both from New York University, Stern School of Business. He also is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. Paul has 25+ years of experience on Wall Street in equity research at leading investment banks such as Bank of America, and on the buy-side as an analyst and portfolio manager at prominent hedge funds such as SAC Capital (now Point 72) and Omega Advisors, specializing in the global technology, media, and telecom sector. He currently runs an investment fund that invests/donates the majority of its profits to social impact initiatives in education, food, and economic equality. Paul is an entrepreneur-in-residence at the Food Lab at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he mentors food industry entrepreneurs and works on initiatives that focus on food-based solutions to social and health problems, and also at CUNY Startups, the university-wide center for entrepreneurship across the 25 colleges at The City University of New York (CUNY), where he mentors student entrepreneurs in their New Venture Accelerator programs. He was formerly a senior fellow and adjunct lecturer at The City College of New York (CCNY) where he taught courses in investment analysis and entrepreneurship, and he was the recipient of the Excellence in Teaching award by the Business & Economics Alumni Society at CCNY. Paul has also served on various nonprofits as a chairperson, board member, and executive director that focuses on workforce development, the performing arts, and people with intellectual disabilities.
