Elias Sorich

Elias Sorich is a New York City poet, teacher, and lapsed reporter. He received his MFA in Poetry from Columbia University and his BA in English from Carleton College. Elias has taught creative writing in the Pre-College programs for over three years and has also taught poetry to undergraduates as a Teaching Fellow at Columbia University. His academic and artistic focus is on ecopoetics and ecocriticism, and he is developing courses that intertwine ecology and literature, tracing how ecosystems have been viewed and represented throughout literary history. He is currently an adjunct at Fordham University and the New York City College of Technology, where he teaches writing and composition.
