Una Kearns is an experienced finance professional with a demonstrated history of working in economic consulting, credit analysis, and finance. Una was a Managing Director at MBIA Insurance Corporation for 17 years, where she led an analytic 8-person team in analyzing and monitoring counter-party credits and emerging risks in various structured finance transactions. She spent the previous eight years as a credit analyst for Moody’s Investor Service where she provided fundamental analyses and rating recommendations for investment grade and speculative high-yield bonds in the high tech industry. Her corporate career began as an Economist at National Economic Research Associates (NERA), where she provided quantitative economic analysis used in the testimonies of expert witnesses who specialized in the telecommunications industry. For the past decade, she has enjoyed working as a business teacher at Glen Rock High School. She teaches a variety of classes, including AP Micro and AP Macro Economics, where she enjoys connecting theoretical concepts to the real-world applications she has experienced throughout her business career. Una holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business; a M.A. in Economics from the NYU Graduate School of Arts & Science; a B.A. in Economics/History from Fordham University.
