Toshi Mitsudome

Instructor | Pre-College Programs

Toshi Mitsudome is a Clinical Professor at New York University, where he teaches courses in finance, statistics, and personal financial planning. He is passionate about helping students connect classroom learning to real-world decisions—whether it’s understanding how the stock market works, building a simple investment portfolio, or using data to make smarter financial choices. Dr. Mitsudome has published research in finance and accounting and is the author of a book on financial statement analysis. His teaching focuses on making complex topics clear and practical, using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and real financial data. He holds a PhD in Accounting and an MBA in International Business, and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA). Dr. Mitsudome enjoys working with motivated students and looks forward to making finance and statistics exciting and accessible in the classroom.
