Karolina Lempert

Dr. Karolina Lempert is an assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience at Adelphi University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in neurobiology from Harvard University and her PhD in psychology from New York University. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lempert’s research examines the psychological factors and neural mechanisms that underlie individual differences in decision making. Her lab’s research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation. In addition to teaching at Adelphi for the last 5 years, Dr. Lempert has given guest lectures at a number of universities (including NYU, Villanova, Queen’s University, and the University of Pennsylvania) and high schools. She also worked as a tutor for several years, and she has over 15 years of experience mentoring student research.
