Instructor | Pre-College Programs
Mathew Calkins is a doctoral student in theoretical physics at New York University. He applies methods traditionally used to study scattering amplitudes in particle physics to build holographic models of quantum gravity in universes which look approximately flat at large distances. He was previously a software engineer at Google, where he built infrastructure to better understand users' search queries. He obtained an M.S. in Mathematics from New York University and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland.
