Dimitre Genov

Dimitre Genov is a Wall Street investor, investment banker, and entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in global capital markets. He currently serves as Managing Director at Brookline Capital Markets, where he advises companies on IPOs, private financings, mergers and acquisitions, and transitions from private to public ownership. Throughout his career, Dimitre has managed and invested over $1 billion at leading firms including Balyasny Asset Management, Magnetar Capital, J.P. Morgan, and Julius Baer, while advising companies across a wide range of industries on strategic and financial transactions. Dimitre holds an Honors B.A. in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Harvard University, where he also served as a teaching assistant, and an MBA with Honors from Columbia Business School and London Business School, where he completed an honors thesis in value investing and investment management. 

He is the author of the widely followed SPAC & Forth newsletter, which focuses on capital markets, entrepreneurship, and the journey from private to public companies. A frequent speaker at industry conferences and guest on financial podcasts, Dimitre is passionate about helping students develop analytical thinking, understand how businesses create value, and gain practical insight into investing, entrepreneurship, and the global financial markets.
