Andrew Bang

Andrew Bang is an advisor with the investment advisory & solutions group at SECOR Asset Management, with client relationship and investment responsibilities including real estate, private equities, UCITS funds, and strategic projects. He also leads SECOR’s Responsible Investment Research. He has over 25 years of investment management industry experience in alternative and equity asset classes. He previously launched and built an investment firm as founding Managing Partner at Drexel Hamilton Investment Partners LLC. Mr. Bang successfully launched an equity long/short Hedge Fund and six Mutual Funds (US Equity, Global Equity, Asia Pacific Equity, European Equity, Multi-Asset Real Return, and Active Treasury) and served as the President of the Drexel Hamilton Funds. Previously, he was Senior Vice President at Shinhan Investment America, where he had responsibility for hedge fund and mutual fund managers in North America. He was a Relationship Manager at AIG Global Investments working with institutional clients invested in Private Equity and HF products. Previous to AIG, he was a Client Portfolio Manager at GE Asset Management (GEAM) pension group where he oversaw $2.5 Billion in institutional clients’ investments in global and international equity portfolios. At GE Equity’s private equity group, Mr. Bang was a founding member of its venture capital “GEVenturemine.com” business. He began his financial services career at UBS investment bank in international equity, having transitioned to the financial services industry after serving six years in the U.S. Army in Europe and the U.S., attaining the rank of Captain. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a B.S. degree and received an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University. Mr. Bang is on the corporate Board of Directors for Vancro Inc. He currently serves as the Chair of the USO Advisory Board of New York & Connecticut. He is also a Board of Governors of the West Point Society of NY, West Point Class Treasurer, and Folded Flag Foundation ambassador.
