Casey Jordan, Ph.D., J.D., is a criminologist and attorney with more than 30 years of university teaching, scholarly research, trial practice, and investigative profiling experience. Casey Jordan holds an M.A., M.Phil, and Ph.D. from CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice, a J.D. from Quinnipiac College of Law, where she excelled in trial practice, and bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Law and Society from the University of Tulsa. She has taught law, forensic psychology, and criminology as a Professor of Justice & Law Administration at Western Connecticut State University since 1991. Since 2002, Dr. Jordan has served as a contributor-criminologist and legal analyst for CNN, HLN, and TruTV, offering commentary on more than 2200 television shows and newspaper stories, including more than 200 true-crime episodes for shows on Investigation Discovery, Oxygen, A&E, Sky TV, the BBC, ABC News 20/20, MSNBC, Court TV, and America's Most Wanted. Host of Investigative Discovery’s hit series “Wives with Knives” for five seasons (2012-2017), Dr. Jordan now serves as the forensic psychologist-consultant and commentator for the Warner Media documentary series “Very Scary People” and “How it Really Happened” (2017-2023). Her forthcoming book, Modern Profiles: Investigative Profiling in the 21st Century (Cognella Publishing), a trade book proposing a new taxonomy of criminal profiles in our technology-based and social media-driven culture, will be published in 2025.
