Cynthia Armijo

Cynthia Armijo has spent over 20 years litigating hundreds of cases during her career as a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney. Armijo received a B.S. degree, summa cum laude, from Texas Women’s University and a J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law. During the ten years she has worked as a criminal defense attorney, she has litigated cases ranging from traffic tickets to death penalty defense. She has also worked on civil cases involving topics such as property law, family law, tort law, immigration law, and contracts. Ms. Armijo has worked as an instructor for over twenty years. She was a Visiting Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law, teaching topics such as criminal law, criminal procedure, trial practice, ethics, and evidence. She has also taught law and criminal justice courses as an Assistant Teaching Professor at Penn State University. Ms. Armijo has also been asked to appear as a commentator on Court TV and several other news programs. American University’s Washington College of Law published her writings regarding Driving While Intoxicated cases in their scholarly journal: Criminal Law Practitioner. Ms. Armijo is an avid cyclist and enjoys reading.
