Georgina Moreno

Dr. Georgina Moreno is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL). She is the director of the Neuroscience and Behavior Program and the Latinx and Latin American Studies Program at UHCL. Originally from Houston, Texas, Dr. Moreno graduated with B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from Texas A&M University. She then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Iowa and completed her postdoctoral studies at New York University. She also holds a graduate certification in Multicultural Education and Culturally Competent Practice from the University of Iowa. Dr. Moreno has taught courses in neuroscience and psychology at both the undergraduate and graduate level, including courses such as Biological Basis of Behavior, Research Methods in Neuroscience, Experimental Research Methods, Statistics, and Latinx Psychology. Dr. Moreno is an affective scientist and her research examines emotion and identity development related to aging, gender, and ethnicity.
