Jonathan Mangar

Jonathan Mangar, Ed.D. studied Spanish, education, and linguistics at New York University, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. His undergraduate thesis was about the change in meaning in English and related languages across time, and his graduate research focused on the influence of English on high school Spanish learners. Dr. Mangar earned his doctorate in educational leadership from St. John’s University in Queens, NY, studying how educators work together to fulfill the mission of their schools. Dr. Mangar teaches Spanish and linguistics at Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens, works with academic scheduling, is a moderator of the speech and debate team, and is chair of the board of trustees of an elementary academy. He has also taught Catholic Studies and Italian language and has eleven years of experience in schools.
