Julia Derk

Dr. Julia Derk is a Senior Scientist for Howard Hughes Medical Institute and is stationed at Duke University and North Carolina Central University. She is also the Board Director and Volunteer Executive Director of Clear Direction Mentoring. She holds an undergraduate degree in neuroscience and psychology from Brandeis University and a doctorate in biomedical science from New York University Vilcek School of Medicine. Julia's current research is focused on novel ways to treat mental health disorders. Julia has over fifteen years of tutoring experience and 10 years of in-lab mentorship experience.
