Katherine Blackburne

Katherine Blackburne was born in London, spent formative years in Australia and currently lives and works in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from the School of Visual Arts in NYC and a Master of Fine Art from Columbia University. As well as several years of study at Queensland College of Art, Australia in the department of Illustration. Her practice spans the media of painting, video art, performance, printmaking and dance with a primary concentration in painting. Katherine has had numerous solo exhibitions in Australia and New York City. Her most recent solo show was with Ruscha and Co Gallery in Los Angeles (formally Seasons LA) 2022. Her paintings are held in private collections internationally and has been featured in several major art fairs. In addition to various teaching appointments through Columbia University Graduate program and the Summer Intensive Katherine taught art enrichment courses in painting and drawing at PS11 in NYC.
