Laura Kent

Laura Kenny Kent, WEDG is a Principal and Partner at Alumni Planning Solutions, an environmental consulting firm based in New York City. Laura is an experienced urban and environmental planning professional specializing in waterfront resiliency, land use, and climate adaptation. She holds a Master of City and Regional Planning from Cornell University, a Bachelor of Arts in Geoscience and Environmental Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and is a Certified Wetland Delineator. Laura’s professional experience spans leadership roles in municipal government, consulting, and private-sector practice. This includes work with the New York City Department of City Planning, and the City of Norwalk, CT, where she advanced initiatives in coastal resilience, environmental restoration, and regulatory planning.  Laura has contributed to research on international sustainable water management and habitat restoration, bringing a multidisciplinary and applied perspective to her teaching and professional work. Laura holds professional affiliations with the Explorers Club in New York City and the American Planning Association.
