Lauren Ruth

Lauren Chase Ruth is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the City College of New York, teaching courses in the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.  Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at Mercy University, and she held a post-doctoral position at Vanderbilt University.  She obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside, and her B.S. in Journalism with a second major in Mathematics from Northwestern University.  Her primary research areas are Functional Analysis and Operator algebra.
