Marilyn Preston

Marilyn Preston holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri. She has over sixteen years of undergraduate teaching experience, including at Brooklyn College, Colby College, the University of Minnesota, Grand Valley State University, and Augsburg University. Marilyn's expertise lies in educational and health equity, social justice, queer/liberatory pedagogy, qualitative research, and student development. She has publications in the Journal of LGBT Youth, Radical Teacher, Teaching & Teacher Education, and the journal Family Relations, amongst others. Currently, Dr. Preston is an Associate Professor and the Coordinator of the Family Studies program at Metropolitan State University.
