Penelope Lusk

Penelope Lusk is a PhD student in Education, Culture, and Society at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds an MS degree in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University and a BA from Bowdoin College. Before starting her PhD, she worked in medical education research at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. Penelope was a 2020-2021 Fulbright scholar at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom where she worked with faculty at the Wellcome Centre for the Cultures and Environments of Health. Her research interests center around the cultural and social theories and philosophies of medicine and education, and she is especially interested in the role of emotions in medical training.
