Roberto Lara Aranda is a communications strategist, storyteller, and educator with over 15 years of experience leading narrative, media production, and engagement strategies across philanthropy, corporate, and mission-driven institutions. He holds an Executive M.S. in Strategic Communication from Columbia University, where he now serves as a Lecturer in the Strategic Communication graduate program, teaching Ethical Decision Making for Communicators and supporting courses on industry insights and authentic leadership. Professionally, he serves as Director of Communications for Global Outreach at the Fetzer Institute, leading national and international campaigns at the intersection of spirituality, justice, and social transformation; and as Executive Director of Select Learning, expanding access to theological and leadership education across the United States. His career spans work with Fortune 500 brands — including Meta, Bank of America, and Disney — as well as faith-based and nonprofit organizations, earning national recognition from Forrester and the Associated Church Press. A first-generation college graduate, immigrant, and Latino leader, Roberto brings a values-driven, inclusive approach to his work, helping students develop the ethical communication frameworks and storytelling skills they need to lead with integrity and impact.
