Shaghayegh Harbi

Shaghayegh Harbi, Ph.D. is an Educator, Mentor, Scientist, and Entrepreneur, with two decades of extensive experience teaching undergraduate students as well as postgraduate students including clinical fellows and graduate students. In 2008, she was nominated for an Excellence in Teaching Award at NYU. In 2009, she was nominated and chosen for the Excellence in Teaching Award at NYU. As an academic, she shares an equal dedication to her students as she does to her research. In 2014, she was awarded the Faculty Advisor of the Year Award at NYU. In 2023, she was awarded the 2022-2023 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching. She maintains an active research program that straddles academia and industry.
