Tessa Whitehead

Tessa Shea Whitehead is a writer and immersive theater creator whose work has been featured in The New York Times, Vogue, and Time Out. Her debut chapbook Gold Hood was published by Bottlecap Press in 2025. She was awarded the Red Noise Collective Poetry Prize, nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and shortlisted for the Fractured Lit Ghost, Fable, and Fairy Tales Prize. She helped found a secret nightclub in Manhattan called The Stranger and co-created Eschaton, a virtual show which ran for 18 months. She received her BA in Creative Writing from the University of Washington, and is currently working on her MFA at Columbia University.
