College Edge Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees are subject to approval by the Board of Trustees and may change. 

Please note the below costs are for Summer 2024. The Summer 2025 costs will be available in March.

Application Fee

Students are required to pay a nonrefundable $80 application fee. This fee is not included in the program cost.

Fees that are not billed to the student account, such as course fees or placement test fees, may be required but are not listed here.

Deposit

To secure a place in the College Edge program, a non-refundable $500 deposit is due upon notification of acceptance to the program. The deposit will be credited toward the program cost and reflected in the final program bill—it is not an additional fee.

*University Services and Support Fee: All students registered on the Morningside Campus shall be charged a University Services and Support Fee, calculated based on the student’s registration. Full-time students are those registered for 12 or more points (credits) in the term. This fee is not assessed to American Language Program students or School of Professional Studies Summer Immersion Program for High School students. This fee combines the Recreational Facilities Fee and Lerner Fee, Information Technology Fee (all students charged, including part-time), and the Cross-Cutting Multi-School Activities Fee. This fee is subject to Board of Trustee approval and may change.

** Health and Related Services Fee: Required of all students. Includes services provided on campus as well as integrated off-campus services. See health.columbia.edu for details. Students who pay the Health Service Fee in Spring are not required to pay the Health Service Fee in Summer. The Summer Trimester Fee applies to new Summer Trimester students only.

Payment Procedures

Columbia bills students for tuition, fees, and other charges at the beginning of each term. The Student Account Statement is distributed electronically via email notification to a student’s Columbia University email account. No paper bills will be mailed by the University.

Columbia University reserves the right to withhold the privilege of registration, or any other University privilege, from any person with unpaid debt to the University.

Billing Process

Columbia University bills students for tuition and fees according to the Columbia University billing schedule. When a statement is generated, an email notification is sent directly to your Columbia email account. You can also access a copy of the bill through Student Services Online (SSOL). The University does not mail paper bills.

After the first statement is generated, bills will be generated periodically if you make schedule changes or if you carry an account balance.
