Application Deadline
The application for Summer 2024 is now closed. Check back in Fall 2024 for information on Summer 2025.
Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with a limited number of positions available, most of which are filled prior to the application deadline.
Due to the large number of applications received each year, not all applicants will be contacted.
Eligibility
Applicants must have completed at least one academic year of study at an American college or university by the start of the internship.
Applicants must be currently enrolled and in good standing American college or university.
Authorization to work in the United States is required and cannot be provided or sponsored by Columbia University. If you are unsure of your work eligibility, please confer with your home institution's International Student Services Office.

The application must be completed online in its entirety. Mailed submissions will not be considered.

Application Form
The online Application Form must be completed in its entirety prior to being submitted. Applicants can save entered information and return to the form at a later time.
Résumé
Applicants will be asked to attach a detailed résumé to their online application form. Please list any relevant leadership experience or coursework that may be applicable to this role. The résumé should be in PDF format and should be titled with the applicant's name.
Recommendation Form
All applicants must submit one recommendation as part of the application process. Recommendations can be provided by an applicant's professor, advisor, former supervisor, or other university administrator. Please provide your recommender with the recommendation form link found here. All recommendations must be submitted no later than January 31st.
Please note that we will not accept letters of recommendation emailed to us. Recommenders only need to fill out the brief form linked below:
Interview
Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an online interview after their application has been reviewed and deemed eligible to move on to the next round of the application process. Please note not all applicants will receive an interview request.
Applications will not be reviewed until all materials have been received.
Application Status Inquiries
Applicants will receive a confirmation email once their application form and résumé have been successfully submitted via the online application form.
