Michael Abrams

Deputy Editor for Standards at The New York Times

Michael is a key member of the team that develops, modernizes and implements the journalism standards for The New York Times, and has been involved in some of the most important and challenging ethics issues in the Times’ reporting.  He was director of Journalism Practices and Principles at the Times, where he was responsible for explaining and maintaining the standards of rigor and integrity. His new responsibilities include being the Standards liaison for AI initiatives.
