Sophie Madeline Dess

Sophie Madeline Dess earned her MFA in fiction from Columbia University, where she was awarded a creative writing teaching fellowship. She has since taught undergraduates at Columbia and Parsons School of Design. Her work has appeared in The Paris Review, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and The Drift, and her debut novel will be published by Penguin Press in 2025
