In Cho, a leading figure in sustainable architecture and education, co-founded ChoShields Studio and Passive House for Everyone (PHFE), an educational non-profit empowering youth for climate action through creative arts exploration of Passive House building science. She is also a Visiting Assistant Professor and Sustainability Coordinator at Pratt's Undergraduate School of Architecture.
Cho's expertise contributed to revising NYC's Energy Conservation Code, now among the strictest in the US, and she designs and builds Passive House projects in NYC. She teaches Passive House concepts to K-12 and post-secondary students through PHFE, develops curricula, and establishes Sustainable Building Training Centers for widespread application. Her pedagogy combines creative arts and hands-on training to inspire a culture of environmental and social resilience for everyone's well-being in the present and future.
