Application Fee

Students are required to pay a nonrefundable $80.00 application fee.

Deposit

To secure a place in the program, a non-refundable deposit is due upon notification of acceptance to the program. Students participating in multiple sessions pay an additional deposit for each session they plan to attend. The deposit will be credited toward the program cost and reflect in the final program bill - it is not an additional fee.

Bill Payment

A bill for the balance due will be issued to the student's Columbia University email address prior to the start of the program. Before receiving a bill, the student will be sent instructions regarding the option to allow a parent or family member to make a payment through the university's Authorized Payer portal.

Program Withdrawal & Refund Policy

Please note, Immersion Program withdrawal policies and deadlines differ from standard Columbia University deadlines. Program specific deadlines can be found on each of the Program Cost pages.

Please email hsp-admit@columbia.edu if you have any questions.

Financial Aid

For summer 2022, a limited number of need-based scholarships are available to residents of New York City who participate as commuters in the Summer Immersion (3-Week) Program. Additional information, including eligibility requirements, can be found on the 3-Week Commuter cost page.

Individual applications for financial aid are not accepted for students participating in a residential program. Students should speak with their school's guidance counselor for information on how to search for financial aid and scholarship opportunities from outside sources and organizations.
